None of our positions require you to ask people for money, and instead each are entirely dedicated to engaging young voters in Boulder as a part of our historic national effort to increase the youth vote in 2008.  Come work for a laid back, fun, and important effort to elect Democrats this year!!

Volunteer and Canvasser Recruiter

Pay: $8 Hour
Expected Minimum Daily Shift: 4 Hours
Start Date: ASAP (as in today if possible)

Description:  Are you the person in your group of friends who is always rounding the crew up for the night's festivities?  Are you committed to creating real change in Colorado and our nation by electing Democrats up and down the ticket this year?  If so, help the Young Democrats of America meet our goal to turn out young Democratic voters by recruiting Democratic activists and staff to knock on doors, talk to young voters outside of local hotspots and big events, and get people to the polls on Election Day.  No experience necessary - we are just looking for an outgoing, influential, and charasmatic person who can help us recruit people for all the positions listed below.  Oh yeah, and it is a fun, laid back, and easy way to make money.

Show and Bar Street Teamer

Pay: $50 - $65 per shift ($10 - $13 per hour)
Expected Minimum Daily Shift: 5 Hours
Start Date: ASAP (as in today if possible)

Description: Do you love going to local shows, know local bands, and enjoy hitting up all the cool hot spots?  Do you not have a problem meeting new people wherever you go?  Are you looking for a way to actually do those things, make some money in the process, AND create real change in Colorado by electing Democrats up and down the ticket this year?  If so, help the Young Democrats of America turn out young voters in Boulder by working as one of our Street Teamers.  Our street teams go to area hangouts, shows, events, and other places young people are spending their free time to remind people to vote and convince them that it is important that they vote for Democrats during this crucial election cycle.  No experience necessary - and consider applying with a friend!  Street teamers go out in groups of two, so this is a sweet job you could do with your best bud!

Canvasser

Pay: $50 - $65 per shift ($10 - $13 per hour)
Expected Minimum Daily Shift: 5 Hours

Description:  How to make this happen is simple, young people have to vote in order for Democrats to win this November and it is clear that in order for real change to happen in Colorado and around the country, we need to elect a team of Democrats - up and down the ballot - to work together and support the policies necessary to improve our communities and make our country strong again.   Be the single most important part of our effort to turn out young voters by talking to them in their homes as a canvasser.  No experience necessary - we are looking for dedicated activists to deliver our message directly to the young voters of Boulder to make young Americans do their part this November.

Unpaid Intern

Pay: You get to have fun and learn stuff!
